Discover the amazing dynamics of Opel’s OPC vehicles on the OPC performance training course. It’s not jut a lot of fun, it also improves your everyday driving safety. One of the highlights is driving on the 5-kilometer high-speed oval track at the test site. Its 37-degree banks enable speeds of up to 250 km/h without lateral forces.
Learn to pilot our vehicles quickly and securely along the ideal racing line on our own racetrack with its 16 different curve radii. Pure adrenaline! As in a motor racing event, we measure relevant data and combine it with video recordings of the driver and the track – which are available for each participant to take home.
Left, right, left: here you can train precise driving and the clean combination of steering and throttle control. With perfect seat position and steering techniques, you learn to drive through the slalom with a steady rhythm.
Test track tour
Torture tracks, all kinds of surfaces, extreme rising and falling gradients – the Dudenhofen Test Center has everything you need to simulate the most extreme conditions in the life cycle of a vehicle.
High-speed oval track
The 5 km high-speed banked circuit is a highlight of the test center. Its banked angle of up to 37 degrees allows speeds of up to 250 km/h without lateral forces.
Braking / Swerving
Dynamic driving demands secure braking. Sometimes it is impossible to stop before the obstacle – that means skillful swerving is required!
Handling track
Learn to pilot our vehicles quickly and securely along the ideal racing line on our own racetrack with its 16 different curve radii. We measure relevant data as for a race and combine it with video recordings of the driver and the track.
Competition
Drive several rounds very quickly, smoothly and without error on a handling course marked by cones.

OPC Performance Training Instructors
Opel Brand Ambassador Joachim Winkelhock, whom everyone simply calls Jockel, will be taking you off to the Opel OPC Performance Training track and showing you all the finesses of motor sports.
Joachim Winkelhock is a truly popular figure, many long years the favourite of motor sports fans and a great name in racing. He twice grabbed the overall victory at the 24-hours on the Nürburgring, is entered one in the winners’ list at Le Mans and has also demonstrated his skills around the globe: In 1993, he finished off his very first season in the hotly contested British Touring Car Championship BTCC as champion and was also successful in the American Le Mans Series.
