How does a car respond in an emergency stop? What’s the best way to dodge an obstacle safely? These and other important questions are answered in the one-day Opel Driver Training program. Improve your reactions and perfect your interaction with the vehicle and its assistance systems – and thus improve your active driving safety. Not only the training is fun, the cars are too: you’ll be driving the latest Opel models, which are easy to control thanks to their advanced technology. We recommend this training program to anyone who wants to improve their driving skills and likes to arrive at their destination relaxed and safe.

The slalom course deals with the fundamentals of safe driving, such as the correct steering technique and visual preparation. The correct sitting position is treated as the most important prerequisite for safety in driving – be it active or passive.

This exercise shows participants, perhaps for the first time in their lives as drivers, the real meaning of a properly conducted emergency stop. It also gives a first impression of the relationship between driving speed and the resulting braking distance.

Here you learn how to assess the real braking potential of a car in order to apply this knowledge in future in a possible emergency situation.

In this exercise, we combine emergency braking with a subsequent avoidance maneuver. It clearly presents the benefits of modern driver assistance systems such as ABS and ESP and how they add to your margin of safety.

The high-speed lane changing exercise, also known as “moose test”, gives you practice in sudden evasive maneuvers. Find out how the appropriate steering technique and electronic stability program (ESP Plus®) help stabilize the car in extreme cases.
