Scott

Scott Jurek

Scott Jurek got a taste for trail running when he was training for Nordic ski racing. He ran his first ultra marathon in 1994. As a vegan he has fueled all seven of his wins at the Western States 100 Mile Endurance run on vegan food alone. As well as a runner, he is a certified coach and has a Master’s Degree in Physical Training. Having won so many races in his field, for Scott, going further is more about overcoming mental challenges than physical ones. He sees running as a vehicle for self-discovery.
Steve

Steve House

Steve House has raised the standards of alpine climbing with his pioneering routes and style. That makes him, according to climbing legend Reinhold Messner, “The best high-altitude climber in the world today.” But for Steve, going further is a question of quality rather than quantity. He believes in "alpine style" climbs, which involve traveling quickly with little gear, and leaving no gear on the mountain. Steve has a BS degree in ecology and is a fully qualified mountain guide.
William

William Trubridge

For William Trubridge, going further is as much an inner journey as a journey though the water. He is redefining our boundaries under water. William learnt to swim at the age of 18 months, and was freediving to 15 m by the age of 8. He has been breaking world records since 2007. In 2010 he set the current record for Unassisted Constant Weight (101 m) and, in 2011, he took the world record in the Free Immersion discipline down to 121 m.
