The INSIGNIA FRONT DESIGN.
The Insignia features Opel's award winning new design language. We like to describe it as sculptural artistry meeting German precision. A strong crease on the hood accentuates the reoccurring ‘blade’ shape and creates a cascade of light and shadow that moves over the fenders to the side panel. Here you see we call the waterfall effect – flowing downward creating a very sculptural, beautiful shape.
The INSIGNIA DESIGN FRONT END.
A new freshness characterizes the frontal styling of the Insignia. The "face" of the Insignia is defined by the prominent chrome grille, featuring a newly designed and refined Opel emblem. It exudes an exclusive yet understated air of self-confidence. Strong sculptural shapes bring the nose forward to the strong chrome bar that proudly holds the Opel blitz.
The INSIGNIA SIGNATURE HEADLIGHTS.
The elegance of the smooth wrap-around profile of the Insignia is a head turner. The light clusters, fog lamps and grille flow together to hint at the effort that has been expended on cutting air drag and wind noise. The striking ‘wing’ design headlights will be a visual signature of all Opel cars in the future and house the class-leading Adaptive Forward Lighting technology from Opel.
The INSIGNIA AERODYNAMIC DESIGN.
The Insignia is one of the most aerodynamically efficient sedans in the world. Expressive, athletic and an aerodynamic dream: the Insignia has reinvented the mid-segment. The coupé-like sweep of the roofline draws in the eye, gracefully announcing it’s elegant and sporty nature. The Insignia’s flowing silhouette helps deliver an ultra-low, fuel-saving drag coefficient CD value of 0.27, placing it among the top aerodynamic sedans in the world – in the same company of much more expensive cars from the premium class.
The INSIGNIA SIDE PANEL.
The Insignia’s exterior hallmark is its graceful, flowing silhouette. The distinctive ‘blade’ shape chiseled into the side panel accentuates the body’s sculpted shape. It gives a strong sense of forward movement as it runs from behind the front wheel, further emphasizing the taut and rakish lines. The window graphic accents the coupe-like appearance.
The INSIGNIA REAR WHEEL ARCHES.
The pronounced wheel-arches emphasize the sporting nature of the Insignia and help maintain its balanced proportions. The new alloy wheel range is designed to harmonize perfectly with the smooth sculpted shape of the body.
The INSIGNIA WIDE SHOULDERS.
The rear of the Insignia is characterized by broad shoulders leading into the eye-catching wheel arches. Together with the wide, powerful stance they combine for a muscular, compact look. The coupé-like rear window rounds out the agile character with an integral lip spoiler that improves both aerodynamics and driving stability.
The INSIGNIA REAR LIGHTS.
Even in the dark, the Insignia has an unmistakable look. The sweeping rear light design features a unique nighttime light signature. The recurring ‘wing’ theme is built into the running lights.
The INSIGNIA REAR BUMPER.
The dynamic flow of the Insignia is evident from every angle. The dynamic taillights sweep into the rear, integrating into a full width chrome bar, which displays the new Opel emblem. Press it to open up the trunk or the tailgate. Like the rest of the exterior, the rear bumper is optimized for the best possible airflow.
