Project Earth reflects Opel’s commitment to improving the environmental compatibility of its automobiles and operations. Opel has always been a leader in environmental issues and technology. We were the 1st major car manufacturer to equip all models with catalytic converters. We are leading the charge to electro-mobility with the revolutionary new Ampera. Our low consumption and low emission ecoFLEX models are equipped with some of the most innovative and cutting edge emission lowering technology available. We have also installed over 408,000 square meters of solar panels at our production facilities. Beyond that we will invest some one billion Euros specifically for alternative propulsion technology in the coming years.
