ECOFLEX TECHNOLOGY

ecoFLEX technology makes our vehicles cleaner and more efficient – and depending on your country it can even lower the price of your insurance. Our ecoFLEX downsizing expertise brings you a lively 16-valve turbocharged 1.4 litre engine, with 120 or 140 horsepower. The Start/Stop technology introduced in recent ecoFLEX models has also proven very effective in reducing fuel consumption and emissions, particularly in urban stop and go traffic. You can enjoy the savings with the petrol and diesel variants.
For extra clean power, usually at reduced cost, from Compressed Natural Gas there is the 1.6 Turbo CNG engine delivering an impressive 110 kW (150 hp). Driving through the 6-speed manual transmission this offers premium levels of performance with exceptionally low fuel consumption, just 4.7 kg H gas/100 km combined.

ECOTEC ENGINES

Four of the six petrol models come with a spritely 16-valve turbo-charged 1.4 litre engine that generates up to 140 horsepower. The other two feature a larger 1.8 litre unit. All four 2.0 litre diesel variants are turbo-charged, including the impressive 2.0 CDTI ECOTEC® with 165 hp. Whichever engine you choose, you’ll enjoy an easy-shifting, low-vibration gearbox. There’s an automatic available for the most powerful diesel and petrol models.
