Rüsselsheim. From May 5 to 7, the Bodensee-Klassik will take classic car drivers to the nicest corners of Austria and southern Germany. The fifth edition of the event will take 180 classic cars, including a strong Opel delegation including three legendary GTs (advertising slogan: Only flying is better) with Vice President Sales & Aftersales Peter Christian Küspert and actor Benjamin Stadler behind the steering wheels, from the Allgäu to Tyrol. Furthermore, TV judge and model agent Peyman Amin will drive a yellow Opel Kadett D Caravan belonging to the German Motoring Club. The Bodensee-Klassik will start in the beautiful city of Bregenz.
Opel GT, Commodore, Rekord and Kadett – every car enthusiast is familiar with these name. Opel will be present at this year’s Bodensee-Klassik with this impressive line-up. At the same time, the Rüsselsheim-based car manufacturer will build a bridge from the glorious past to a successful present and future. In 1968, the first Opel GT rolled off the production line – a stylish and visionary dream car. Opel will participate in the classic car tour with three of these style icons. And even though it is almost 50 years of the GT is more current than ever. The company revealed its visional GT Concept, a puristic and dynamic driving machine, at the Geneva Motor Show in March, thus writing a new chapter in the history of the GT and showing how the sportscar of the future will look.
However, Opel cannot just make emotional cars; Opel can also make practical ones. The forebears of the new Astra Sports Tourer impressively demonstrate this. The Commodore ambulance, the fire service Rekord E and a “yellow angel” Kadett D belonging to the ADAC show that Opels can master any task they are given.
